All,
I have always been a fan of acupuncture since I had some treatments done years ago and since listening to the rave reviews of it’s usefulness from a few dozen people at the old clinic I used to work at Saturdays in White Marsh.
I am very intrigued to see an acupuncture practice called Acpuncture for All only a few blocks away from my office on Falls Road. They charge a sliding scale fee of $20-$40 per visit — which is really, really cheap. The “catch” is that the treatments are done in group sessions. So patients sit down in a living room-like area and all get treated at the same time. Seems like a good trade-off to me.
Acpuncture is used in the treatment of mental health conditions such as stress, anxiety, and depression — as well as ailments usually thought of as somatic in nature.
I would appreciate any client feedback as to experiences at this clinic. I have started suggesting it as an option to a few clients — especially the clients adverse to psych medications.
Folks who prefer a more private and personal experience may wish to try out acupuncture services available in the same suit of office I am located in from Kim Wright and Mary Beth Dwyer.

UPDATE 06-29-11: Met briefly with Jeff Wolfson this afternoon. He’s located in a sunny 2nd floor office with good energy. There is a waiting area, and then a treatment room with seven cozy chairs spread around in a circle. He seemed to be doing a respectably brisk trade. Jeff says he has a background in counseling — so depression, anxiety, and addictions are a special interest of his. He also takes BNotes! I left some flyers and hope some of my clients will give him a try.
Here is a copy of his main brochure flyer in .pdf format:
